The Love and Loss Project
Bernell Loeb's immersive art.
Portland based painter Bernell Loeb asked me to compose music for her full-immersion art project called “The Love and Loss Project”. Taggart Siegel’s film captures its depth much better than my words can do. Check it out by hitting the red PLAY button to see it on YouTube:
Bernell commissioned me to write an a cappella choir work based on lyrics she wrote (see below). The PSU Chamber Choir, assembled by Ethan Sperry recorded my composition “All Is” for this project at Hallowed Halls in Portland, Lisa Riffel conducting.
I expect Bernell will be exhibiting the work publicly at some point this year. I hope you have a chance to open those doors to the experience.
